About Us

Mind’s Eye Productions (MEP) is a specialty audiobooks and audio drama studio located in South Portland, Maine. Founded in the late 1990s by William Dufris, MEP was one of the first independent audiobook studios and has produced thousands of titles over the last 20 years.

While our founder William passed in March, 2020, our team continues the tradition, working with narrators and sound teams in Maine and across the US, Canada, and the UK.

In addition to audiobooks, we have great passion around audio dramas, and have brought to life full-cast productions with 100s of cast members, lush sound designs and original music. Some of the amazing talent we’ve worked with includes Stephen King, Tatiana Maslany, Kate Mulgrew, Haley Joel Osment, Alfred Molina, David Duchovny, and Gillian Anderson.
